This year, for Mardi Gras, we decided to head down to New Orleans...to catch a flight to Dallas. There was no way we'd take Cora to an actual Mardi Gras celebration! We might try to catch a parade or two next year, but for now, visiting the Jesters was a great way to celebrate. The airport was packed on our way out of town, but most of the travelers were on there way in. It did seem like a good number of locals had the same idea as us though! Southwest had lavishly decorated their gates and check-in counters, both in NOLA, and in Dallas.
We think Cora might have allergies, and she was a bit miserable our first day in TX. She does enjoy playing with her cousins, but I think between not feeling well, and not being able to breath, she was a little overwhelmed.
Weston, Ella, and Libby were all very sweet, and like to bring Cora more toys than she could possibly play with. After some much needed sleep (for all of us!), Cora and her Nana were ready to play.
Despite a cold front coming through that weekend, we did have one nice, sunny afternoon, so we introduced Cora to the trampoline. You can see a short video if you

There a few more pictures from this photo shoot in our "Mardi Gras" album, which you can access directly through
this link, or through the one I posted in the "
Grandmom and Janna" post. Here are a few of our favorites.
We made the right choice visiting family instead of the French Quarter. We all really enjoyed the (quick) trip, and as always, enjoyed seeing the family.
Bahahahaaa! Her little squeaks on the trampoline are way too cute! I love it!!
