Marshmallow pictures - Months 5 & 6

Cora turned 5 months old right at Christmas time, but we didn't get a chance to take her marshmallow pictures until after we got back to LA. Then, when we did get around to taking them, our card reader broke and we couldn't get them off the camera! So here's a big pile of pictures from both 5 and 6 months old.

By 5 months, Cora was grabbing everything within reach and sticking it in her mouth. Including her toes. She was also rocking back and forth all over the floor, but not yet rolling all the way over.

She had become incredibly interactive with people - making noises, smiling, laughing, and grabbing faces. We started giving her "solid" food a few weeks before she hit the 5 month mark, and so for we have yet to find a food she doesn't like.

Now, at 6 months old, Cora is managing to sit without support! She'll stay sitting for several minutes, until she gets distracted by something far away. Then she reaches for it and falls right on over.

Her appetite for food has increased, and she's in the 95th percentile for both length (27.5 inches) and weight (19 lbs, 9 oz). Geoff and I are very fortunate that we have a very good sleeper. She regularly sleeps 10 to 11 hours at a stretch now, letting us get our own good quality sleep.

Rolling is no longer a challenge! We put her on the floor to play a lot, and within a few seconds she'll be off the blanket and onto the floor, reaching for some far away toy or for the dog.

The baby jabbering has increased, and her noises are so cute! Cora's almost taking turns talking with us, but she does most of the talking - I think she takes after her mom!

The first 6 months have been so great and easy that we're both excited and frightened of what's to come!
